I bought this fan for the WhisperRoom (music booth) that I use for recording. I need a fan that circulates air so it doesn't get too hot inside and is quiet enough not to disturb the recording. This is a very quiet fan at low speed, and the faster it runs, the louder it runs. to be expected. Speed control could be better. When I initially set the fan to its lowest setting and turn the knob to run faster, the fan hits max speed halfway through, so there's not really a speed throttling from full use of the controls. If there is a way to fine tune the knob I would really like to know. Otherwise it serves its purpose.
