Review on Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Lens: Perfect for Nikon DSLR Cameras! by Abhey Singh ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I expected more from buying, but not the worst option.

Bought in USA, made in China. In general, a good lens, but I still don’t understand why it soaps so much on open holes. The picture is just disgusting. The working hole starts at 2.8, that is, compared to the maximum 1.8, you need to close the aperture by 3 steps. I did not compare it with other fifty dollars, but even at a price it is an order of magnitude more expensive than the Kenon counterpart with similar or worse quality. Why pay for a brand? already looking at kenon or pentax for the transition

Pros
  • nice bokeh high aperture type great alternative to whale good as a reporter
Cons
  • very soapy on open holes (working aperture 2.8) quite noisy cheap white rear lens cap included very poor focus in the dark flimsy constructive overcharge
