Many reviews mention that these cards are unreliable. I've had them for a few weeks now and I have to agree. I bought these to upgrade my media server after an old card I was using failed. Completely rebuilt the server with new drives and had some "weird" issues. It's hard to explain the quirks, software RAID errors that (thankfully) I was able to recover manually. The only thing that seemed certain was that these problems occurred when the software RAID received more data bandwidth. However, I'm using a maximum of 4 ports on each card and the card can't handle that. I'm upgrading to an LSI controller.
