Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Efficient Tool for Replacing Belts in Dyson Vacuum Cleaners by Jill Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So you think you won't need it.

But it turns out you're wrong. I usually skip the "special tools required" type of purchase. I can understand that. When I ordered a new clutch kit for my D14 this time, I figured a few extra dollars for the tool would be in order. It's time to set the bat. I took the little "penhook" out of the box and figured that was all I needed. There is no joy. Cannot stretch the group close enough. Couldn't figure out how the other part works. I googled and found a tutorial video. Hmmm. Okay. Put the big piece back in place, hook the handle on the band and start pulling. It took a lot of effort, but I made it. I put the whisk back in place and snapped the strap into place. Now you "can" replace it with a new strap without this device, but I'm a bit skeptical about that. Maybe you can do it if you get three guys together, two of whom will stretch the band from opposite sides and one of whom will put the bar back in place. Otherwise, take this set. Making hard work easier is pretty cheap.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • So far so good
