This gauge is almost calibrated. A slight adjustment of the screw, and it showed 6.9 and 4.0 on standard solutions. A real plus for me is that it gets readings fairly quickly, seconds rather than minutes. It seems to work well with the water in my pool. I'm pretty good at setting most pool parameters with test strips, but the pH readings on the test strips continue to fool me. activity of chlorine and for animal comfort - especially for the eyes. In salt tanks, the chlorination method naturally raises the pH, so the simple and quick method saves on chemical costs and improves animal comfort. This is my third pH meter of this type and so far it seems to be the best.
