Overall happy with this drain

Until recently purchasing this product I was terrified of draining my hot tub and probably didn't do it often enough. I had to squeeze between the hot tub and the patio and try to feel out the drain, then try to hook up a garden hose and drain the water to the other end of my yard, away from my house, THEN wait for what seemed like hours to drain all the water and THEN I still had to vacuum it all up and wipe away the remaining water with a sponge that was underneath the drain hole. It took me a while to get comfortable with this product on the first try and get it all. great set up but once I did it drained and even removed most of the water from the bottom of the hot tub very quickly, as well as lots of small dirt particles and debris. Hey, is this product perfect? No, at least not from my experience. But it was 100 times better than my old method. My problems were as follows: First, the suction was so strong that the drain hose shriveled on its own, causing the part that was supposed to be at the bottom of the bathtub to go further up. I had to partially place the hot tub lid on the hose to hold it in place and it worked pretty well when I found out; Second, the drain hose wasn't long enough for my needs and I had to add a lot of extra hose to get it out of the house. I wish they would just let you order an extra length of hose along with a jig and for a decent price because it's quite expensive to buy at a hardware store or even online. Those are really my two complaints, so overall I'm very happy with the stock, especially since it was so affordable. The thought of draining the hot tub in the future no longer gives me such a headache, and it will no longer be a full-time job.
