The best part is that they are NOT electric.

I threw it away. Instead I bought a Simer pump. Because the drain hose needs to be 1 1/4 inch ID and it took 50 feet to get water to clean my hot tub patio furniture. It was a huge amount of tubing to store and coil up. Simer's submersible pump uses a standard 50 foot garden hose. However, this product worked surprisingly well. If only it weren't for the cumbersome storage of the hose. I don't need to buy a pump. Plus, the nice thing is that there is NO risk of electric shock when using it. So…

Pros
  • Our water pump doesn't require electricity, it's 100% water powered and delivers 800 gallons per hour
Cons
  • gone

When you need to quickly pump water with sand, sediment or dirt in one spot this works well, especially when combined with a short 1" PVC -Extension to the floor. It does its job perfectly and is less cumbersome than the electric pump I used, which required me to constantly clean the filter as it was "designed for clean water only". Small stones and pebbles. I quickly cleared the pipe, but a stone or two got stuck in the PVC extension. They are easy enough to remove and return the Bernoulli…

Pros
  • 2 ft 1-1/4" drain hose and instructions included
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

This thing is a free MIRACLE!

Works! It really works! I wish I had found this thing many years ago. It would save me a lot of trouble. I needed something to help my basement drain pump in case of a power outage. We have gravity water right next to the swamp and two windows so I can drain the water. We tested it this weekend and it works! I don't need a generator. I don't have to suck on the hose to create enough vacuum to pull the water out. You just plug it in and turn on the water. It just works! I also plan to use it to…

Pros
  • The pump uses water from a garden hose to create suction under a pump that draws water through a drain hose
Cons
  • Not bad

Overall happy with this drain

Until recently purchasing this product I was terrified of draining my hot tub and probably didn't do it often enough. I had to squeeze between the hot tub and the patio and try to feel out the drain, then try to hook up a garden hose and drain the water to the other end of my yard, away from my house, THEN wait for what seemed like hours to drain all the water and THEN I still had to vacuum it all up and wipe away the remaining water with a sponge that was underneath the drain hole. It took me…

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
