Review on Treatlife Smart Ceiling Fan Control: 4-Speed Switch, Works with Alexa and Google Assistant, Remote Control, Schedule, No Hub Required by Joe Gosa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good smart home fan control.

There aren't many smart home control options for ceiling fans just yet. I've tried several of these and this one is by far the best. Until yesterday I was using a Honeywell Zwave Smart Fan Controller for my living room fan. To use it I had to install the zwave hub. All of my other smart home switches connect directly to Wi-Fi, so adding a Zwave hub wasn't exactly what I wanted to do, but I did it anyway. The problem with Honeywell is that the lowest speed setting is still too high. I couldn't sit in a room with the fan on, it was too much unless it was very hot. I found this Treatlife on Revain yesterday. I installed it this morning. It is easy to install and integrates seamlessly with the Treatwell app. Enable the Treatwell Skill to have Alexa control it. Alexa automatically adds a fan switch to Alexa-controlled devices. This switch offers 4 speed settings as opposed to Honeywell which only had 3. Setting 1 is very slow, just enough to move air but not burst the paper on the coffee table. Even level 2 is slow. Setting 3 is about Honeywell's minimum setting, so that's a big difference. I'm glad this switch doesn't make the fan hum and it has low speed settings. Hope this switch lasts a long time. At the moment I give 5 stars.
