Review on 🚰 Undermount Single Bowl Sink, Elkay Quartz Classic ELGU2522WH0, White by Justin Abrams

Great sink but 10 " too deep

I will write about what is good about this sink as advertised, but I will also share my experience with the deep sink. , a sink with a bowl for those trying to figure out which sink to get. I've been using this sink for about 3 months. I wanted a single bowl sink because I was tired of the divider when washing dishes. I chose quartz because nowadays it is highly recommended. I chose this one because I wanted gray to match my kitchen colors. It is gray and slightly bluish rather than yellowish. Installers have no problem with the installation. It looks great under my quartz countertop. I also wanted a deeper sink than my 5" depth. Not knowing too much about depths, I chose the deepest! 10 inches is too deep; I didn't really understand what a few inches difference could be. If I bending over this sink to wash the dishes my back hurts and my husband's back hurts too - in the middle of the back, in the shoulder blade area average arm length is 5ft 6in which is legs medium to short. He is 6'1" tall with relatively long arms and legs. I have a full sink shelf to protect the sink and drain things, so we regained almost an inch of space, and that helps β€” but not enough. I'm going to find out how much effort and expense it would take to replace that sink taped under the countertop. Thought I'd like the disposer at the back for easier access; But that's not the case. Everything is OK. But in our case, in depth, we hardly had enough space for the sink and faucet, so the flow of water from the faucet almost does not go into the sewage system. The downside is that the water doesn't go straight down the drain when it's running (not sure if that's critical), and you can't run water without wetting the entire sink once you've just cleaned it. Finally, I also found the disadvantage of a large sink with a basin. It is more difficult/takes longer to wash leftovers from the entire sink. When I washed or washed dishes in a double sink, all of the food was in one smaller sink. As a result, more water is now being used.
