If the rear window is tilted slightly, it will not work. Tilt does not allow blocking. You need two flat surfaces for both parts. Then you need to align and assemble both parts so that they close and snap into place. Didn't match my window. I would have to make new holes that would be so close to my old holes that it would form one big hole. It could be more versatile if part of the castle was designed differently to allow more freedom of action. You have to be that precise, even if both window sills were level.
