I wish I could add photos for more proof. The amount of times my puppy has peed on my bed really shows how water resistant this bed cover is.He's mostly potty trained but sometimes he's picky about the weather (like rain/wet ground). So he'll end up holding it and going inside on my bed or carpet.This has saved my bed a few times from dog pee, as well as just regular things like sweat. It keeps my mattress from absorbing body odor and whatnot because of the water resistant barrier. Even though I remove the cover almost right after the accident happens, I wouldn't expect it to leak through if I left it for longer.I was hesitant of the water resistant quality at first. Questioning if it would lose that ability over time from the washer or dryer, but after washing it more than a handful of times now, I believe it will continue to work as it has been. I keep this under a bed sheet so I'm not picky about the softness. But overtime, the texture does lose a bit of softness from the washing. So maybe if you don't wash it as much as I do it might be softer in the long run.To me sleep quality depends on the mattress but in regards to temperature, I sleep very hot so it's not TOO bad during the summer. With this, it's either or–whether you want water resistant and be slightly warmer because of the barrier, or no water resistant and have a much cooler bed cover. You can't have both from what I've seen.
