We just bought Amish bedroom furniture. I wanted something to match the decor, but the Amish quilts were out of my budget after purchasing the furniture. This blanket is beautiful and fits the Amish look I was looking for at a fraction of the cost. Me and my husband love this cotton throw with stars and matching slips. The bed is an extra large double bed with drawers underneath. I needed something big enough to hang down to the level of the drawers. I've been searching and searching forever. This duvet is perfect. I'll probably take it to the dry cleaners to have it washed just because I don't have a washing machine to handle such a large comforter. We live in the north, it's cold in winter and hot in summer. I would say it's light enough for our spring season and early fall weather. In the summer it can get to be too much for us. Now in winter I have a light duvet underneath. I like to keep my room on the cooler side. I can't stand new sherpa, fleece or whatever they use for duvets and quilts these days. I'm too hot and I fight her all night. Finding that blanket was God's message. I haven't felt this comfortable and slept this well in years. I'm dreaming again, under our sweet dream blanket.
