I am so happy with this fan. It arrived on a Sunday and I was so eager to change the old one that my husband took it right away. It was 45 minutes from start to finish. Including removing the old one. Very easy to install. The hardest part was figuring out how to position the remote control receiver inside so it doesn't get in the way of putting everything together. It runs very quietly and moves a lot of air. However, I would like a reversible fan function, which is not an obstacle for us. We have a very low ceiling so one direction suits us. It is fully controlled by the remote control. You can turn the light and fan on and off and adjust the speed. It also has a timer function to set the fan to only run for a preselected time. In the evening it's good, so it turns off and doesn't work all night. It still has general ON/OFF power supply from wall switch. The light always comes on when we turn on the switch. It sits very close to the ceiling and doesn't take up much space, but it looks nice. Edison bulbs that come with the kit give a nice light. It was so nice not only to see the ceiling fan when entering the room. It's big enough to look pretty but doesn't immediately catch the eye. This makes the room appear much larger. There are also no protruding fan blades to grab hold of, or anything inside. All of this is in the cell. I love this fan!
