Having never used this product I had a black plastic roof over a John Deere ATV. Anyone who has driven their ATV through forest, trees, bushes and fields knows that they will be beaten. I had a low lying branch that almost ripped off the plastic roof. It broke on the side, removing part of the front overhang. I bought this product not knowing exactly what to expect. The guide was perfect. Simply cut a very small portion off the end of each piece and shape and knead for about 10 minutes. I use the rolling technique like a snake and then turn it into a wall. I did this over and over again until the product had a uniform black appearance. I smeared it on the cracks and restored the missing areas using my clay modeling skills. The instructions said you can wet your fingers and use them to completely smooth the surface and get rid of most of the sanding. I use this technique and it looks fantastic. The color of the surface is coordinated with the roof. He filled the cracks. Areas that were scarce have now been restored. This is a great product.
