It must be set as the primary monitor (NOT your laptop's screen) for the touchscreen to function properly. Otherwise, your clicks will correspond to the same x and y point on your laptop screen. It also needs to be plugged into a power source via another USB-C port, or your laptop will need a real Thunderbolt port. A standard USB 3.0-C port doesn't deliver the performance needed to power the display, and it either won't turn on or runs at a very low resolution. If you work in both of those conditions, it's a great choice for adding pixels to your workspace.
