The wiring harness wasn't connected properly and I would have had to buy a soldering iron to reconnect the red wire to the relay, but since I'm installing it on a boat (with an extra switch) I just bypassed that instead pass on completely. Also, there was a blue wire coming from the relay that wasn't connected to anything, with no instructions on where to connect it. The brackets were too short for a pole to fit on top (because the top is rounded and the brackets are short), so I had to mount them from below. I asked if the hardware was really stainless steel, so I replaced them with real stainless steel nuts and bolts. The wire harness was too short to connect my console to the top plate so I bought extra wires to connect. You can get this light to work, but most likely it won't be plug and play. I also can't figure out why they put a 30 amp fuse on it. This seems overkill considering the wiring is around 14 gauge (and can't handle 30 amps). 20 amps would require 12 gauge, so 30 would have to be even thicker (maybe 10 or 8 gauge). I replaced this fuse with a 15 amp for safety reasons. I probably wouldn't buy it again as I had to do a lot of extra components/work to get it working the way I want it to, but it does what I need it to and is relatively bright. Let's see how long that lasts.
