Mounting brackets not as shown

The mounting brackets that came with my lamp are thin, poorly painted stamped steel and do not match the pretty brackets pictured. When tightening the screws, the paint peels off. Very disappointed that it is not what is pictured.

Shop Stainless Steel Units

After reading many reviews about this lantern here I decided to order a lantern for my boat that spends half a year in salt water. Steel isn't good for saltwater, so before installing it I ordered a Rigid Industries 40182 E-Series L Bracket Kit off eBay ($25) and went to Lowe's for Alen 8mm x 1/2" stainless steel screws ($2.50 US ).The light itself is very bright and if you are willing to work your feet a little to use stainless steel hardware you can make it a decent light for a seagoing…

Good value for money, just not good enough.

Mounted on the T-top of my boat. While the low beam coverage is fantastic, the wide angle and top-to-bottom angle really don't give the range I was hoping for. I can see the markers reflecting light a few hundred yards away, but I can't see more than 60 yards ahead. I was a bit disappointed but didn't know how to calculate how many lumens I needed to work. Cheap Light Bar As Expected

The wiring harness wasn't connected properly and I would have had to buy a soldering iron to reconnect the red wire to the relay, but since I'm installing it on a boat (with an extra switch) I just bypassed that instead pass on completely. Also, there was a blue wire coming from the relay that wasn't connected to anything, with no instructions on where to connect it.
