Review on πŸ› οΈ IWISS 1/2, 3/4, and 1-inch ProPEX Expander Tool Kit | ASTM F1960 Compliant for PEX-A Pipe | Compatible with Uponor Propex Wirsbo by Brian Nicholas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A possibility if you do not want to install PEX regularly. Has paid off in a job.

I had a leaking outer window sill hose and inner seal (30 years later). My plumber called me for FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to fix/replace it. After purchasing everything I needed to DIY I saved over $300 and now have the tools to do so much more. OF COURSE, you will have to rotate the head in the PEX-A pipe after each expansion (read the instructions!). You know what moves.” YOU ARE WALKING THE PATH of the wall and move OUTSIDE rather than working INSIDE the wall. This gives you room to manipulate the tool's handles. In other words, if you use *this* tool (instead of the powerful $400 option), avoid hitting the wall (on the stairs!) FIRST connect the pipe to what's coming out of the wall, THEN make the connections within the workspace.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • A few small things
