These walkie-talkies are PERFECT for just about any activity that requires you to talk to someone while you're on an adventure. (We even use them when we go shopping. I get half the grocery list and she gets the other half. We walk in opposite directions at huge stores and keep in touch with these awesome little guys.) Very easy to use. Just turn them on and press to talk. Or set it to VOX (Voice Controlled Transmission) and just hold it somewhere in front of your torso and you don't even have to press a button, the sound of your voice is enough to activate it. These walkie talkies have more features than I can list here making them ideal for almost any setting including professional field work including Squelch, CTCSS and Roger Tones. You can even ensure silence by plugging in headphones. They have a small flashlight built in. But I wouldn't rely on it to light my way on a dark night just to rummage through my tent or backpack. In my video, I was at a friend's three blocks away talking to my wife, who was still at home. This set of four units was priced insanely cheap due to the quality and the features built into it. Excellent purchase. Five stars.
