Review on πŸ”Š Decibel BTMETER: Accurate Pressure Measurement Range of 30-130dB by John Destruction

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Invaluable for audio enthusiasts or professionals.

Some instruments are essential in the audio world. Function/waveform generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters and decibel meters. In terms of price and performance, this should definitely be on your list. The display is perhaps a bit dated and still uses AA batteries (hello, we live in the lithium age). But a dB meter that weighs A and C for less than $50, I think I can stand removing a set of rechargeable AA batteries on a regular basis. ), so I'd say it's pretty accurate. I can do further testing with some test tracks to see if I can get higher numbers from a more controlled source than just the Sirius radio. I didn't test the limits of the battery life because I can't imagine ever running out of battery during a test session. I recommend putting in rechargeable batteries and charging them before each use. I do this with everything. It's a great (albeit a bit dated) counter that does what it's supposed to do. You can't beat having a dB meter that can weigh A and C for less than $50, and whether you're building an audio test kit for the pro world or just an "audio nut" this is a great one tool for the price. .

Pros
  • Automatic shutdown and overload indicator
Cons
  • Long delivery time
