My 2003 MB CL 500 comes with a cigarette lighter socket. Adding this device gives me 12v power at two points as well as USB ports for charging. My kids laugh that I still use my iPod the same way Garmin does. But I do. And my MB is really cool! This device allows me to use more electronic "things" to make the car more convenient. I highly recommend this for older luxury cars that require electronic skills.
