I was looking for an alternative to buying a Raymarine part as I felt it was overpriced. However, that's all you need to properly install the tiller. It comes with a thick threaded base plate, stainless steel screws and a back plate. The shaft is made of durable, anodized aluminum that can be custom cut. The end cap allows you to position the hole as you like. The shaft can be unscrewed from the base at any time when not in use. Overall the quality is excellent and the built in durability ensures comfort knowing it will withstand even the worst of conditions. I still don't like the price, but looking back I'm glad I bit the bullet!
