I have a German shepherd and 3 Chihuahuas. Everyone uses it daily. Such a great purchase Rather than spending so much on an expensive device that attaches to a glass door or goes through a wall. I thought it would eventually damage the screen but so far it hasn't caused any damage. Installation was very easy. I made it as soon as it arrived. I only needed a knife to cut the screen once it was attached. Please keep in mind that I live in Southern California where it is mostly sunny year round. As a rule, there is always someone at home, so we can leave our baked food open for most of the day. We've had this for a few months so it's passed the test of being abused by our dogs.
