My device happened to be coded E003 and my garden smelled of gas. Entry and exit were unhindered. The gas company confirmed I had the correct pressure and I went ahead and replaced the igniter/rod myself when the plumber installing the unit kept dodging me. Since then there have been no more dropouts.
