I have bought these shoes several times, probably 5 times. The Chet Thomas IV they are based on were of excellent quality and tough as nails. This shoe is a simplified version in many ways. The toe piece now has two layers instead of the original three. Lower quality shoe material. Worst of all, the glue on the sole didn't work on every pair. Literally the bottom sole just peels off after a while. The sole of one pair came off after just a month of use. Sew the damn thing on or use high quality glue or damn both. I would pay $250-$300 for handcrafted leather from Chet Thomas IV. Globe Shoe co I have been using your shoes for many years and have noticed a very drastic deterioration in quality. It should be the other way around. Design better shoes to get more profit, don't design cheaper shoes and make profit at the expense of customers. The ankle brace is easy to put on and take off, which is why I keep buying it. If they fall apart, that will be the last time I use the globe again.
