Within a year of purchase I developed a light skin layer of either oil or possibly delamination on one of the internals. Viltrox refunded me $20 after I complained. Not the best compensation. AF is exceptionally bad. Not very slow, but it hunts (quickly) and objects within its normal range will bounce and be out of focus even after AF-S is locked. It's a shame, because otherwise the lens delivers great results. f5.6 is easy to find. It's a sharp, pleasing background blur and has just the right quality of highlights when you're capturing a golden hour scene. Good contrast and colors. The Viltrox simply screwed up the build quality despite looking like a solid, attractive lens.
