I bought this monitor for two reasons: 1) I used an HP flat panel at my last job (but not this model) and found it to be quite reliable and 2) I wanted a monitor with a 4:3 aspect ratio because of the Graphics card in my The old Dell Dimension 4600 supports this aspect ratio in the provided resolutions. I also like the 4:3 aspect ratio screen. The monitor arrived with a few dead pixels, but thankfully they're on the edge of the screen and barely noticeable. excellent picture and I was under the impression that it uses In-Plane Switching (IPS) the main advantage of which is providing an image that can be viewed clearly from extreme angles and not just straight ahead. In any case, it seems to behave exactly like that, which is a plus. I don't know if anyone sells these refurbished HP LP2065 monitors, but I don't regret buying mine. The only thing I sometimes wanted was a built-in webcam, but I knew I wasn't going to get it. Conclusion: a good monitor at a great price (just over $100 for me) 10/ Update 11/13: We've been using this monitor for a good 18 months and it's still working. When I bought it used I was a little worried it might be nearing the end of its life but hey - so far so good.
