I was on the verge of buying rechargeable candles instead of candles with replaceable batteries, so I'm glad I went for them. The biggest inconvenience is remembering to charge it, but as it only takes about an hour to charge it's not a big deal. The remote control function is great; set and forget. Great for an overnight stay. I really like that this set has 2, 4, 6 and 8 hour time options. It's nice to have a dimming and flame changing function. Note, however, that perfection has not been achieved with flameless candles. When off, they don't look close up. When I received them I was amazed at how cheap and "plasticky" they looked, but when lit they look really really good on my robe and in front of the statue at night. Love the atmosphere as well as the safety and savings compared to real candles. The real plus for me was the environmental benefits that rechargeable batteries offer over replaceable batteries and the freedom of not being a battery slave. I turn them on at max brightness for 8 hours every night, so given the price difference between them and replacements, they've already paid for themselves in battery savings.
