Review on 🎨 Scotch General Use Masking Tape - Basic Painting, 1.88" x 60 yards, 2025, 1 Roll by Zach Spangler

Heavy duty wide masking tape. I used it to tape the walls around door frames that I was painting as well as tape over hardware that couldn't be removed. The tape peels off and easily sticks in long pieces. It holds up well and the paint doesn't seem to bleed underneath even though I've only pressed it lightly against the wall. When removed at the recommended 45 degree angle, it came off in one piece just as easily. I usually double the part on top for easier pulling later. Smaller parts are trickier as the tape doesn't always break as intended, but seems to work fine - you'll need to remove as much of the hardware as possible, but I've had a few things that were safer to stay in place with tape. In some cases I've taped things in place for a couple of weeks (much longer than the recommended 3 day maximum for a clean removal). Nevertheless, the tape came off without a trace. Nice. I'm also excited about the renewable content of this whiskey - being a disposable product there is great value in making it as sustainable as possible. I checked a local big box and they were the same size of 'regular' scotch for the same price (i.e. the non-renewable content type). For comparable prices (and home delivery!) definitely choose this version! Painting at home is one of my least favorite things to do in life. I was pleasantly surprised at how this tape makes this task a little bit easier. highlighted.
