Poor adhesion. I spent about an hour applying about 16 linear feet of it, moving the iron very slowly to get it fully heated, and then applying tons of pressure to get it to stick properly. Several times throughout the experience I was surprised and frustrated that my efforts were still not enough, when I thought it was good then the edge came loose. I finally thought I had finished every inch enough for good adhesion, then took my parts to the site for installation and to my great dismay it only took my hand to run over the edge and catch the edge of the tape to to do it . start peeling. That was before I painted, and if you've ever painted an edge without full gluing, you know it's an absolute nightmare. I'll do one more pass with a hot iron before varnishing, but to be honest I'm very nervous about what will happen if moisture gets on this material. I know it's edging and not my method or the iron I'm using because I've spent 1/4 of the time gluing different edges with the same iron and haven't had any issues. Maybe it's good for DIYers or for those who have more time and patience or just need a quick and messy edge that doesn't need painting, but it's not suitable for a professional carpenter.
