I have a pair of Cascadia shoes and thought one of these with Goretex linings would work for El Camino in Spain. Ordered a GTX model, looked great. I noticed a few things: 1. The foam padding on the tongue is much smaller than the regular model2. Due to the less foam on the tongue and the narrower width, I developed irritation on the top of the foot from the hole which had a slight accumulation of material around it. I could feel the seam of the Goretex lining at the top of the shoe where it meets the laces. I was surprised to see this in such an expensive shoe. It won't work for a short hike, let alone El Camino de Santiago. Sent the shoes back and ordered a new pair of regular Cascadia. They sit normally, there is a lot of foam on the tongue. No other problems.
