I have upgraded the sound system in my TrailBlazer including replacing the worn dashboard speakers. They sounded like a box of rice flakes being shaken vigorously. These new speakers had a rare feature: they fit into the small spaces vacated by the factory speakers. Nothing was smaller than 3.5 inches, and the factory was 2.5 inches (luckily with SOME wiggle room). So they fit somehow. Well, here's the thing - the list says: Speaker Type - Full Range. I figured that at this size they would mostly pick up "high frequencies" but figured I had at least some mid-range coverage! When I plugged them in, they were way too loud compared to existing door speakers. BUT - as TWEETS they sounded GREAT! Really clean, transparent, like the drummer's brush is on the cymbal right in front of you. The only problem is that you can barely hear the other 4 speakers. Too loud. a common problem in the world of car radios. I also found a solution - turn down the volume of the tweeters with resistors. I found the right ones, soldered and crimped and. WOW! My truck now has the best sound system I have! So bottom line, this is a GREAT set of tweeters for your car stereo. m. If you're looking for tweeters and aren't too frustrated that they need a little tweaking like I did then BUY THIS. You sound GREAT!
