This was the second of these scanners that I have purchased. I still have the first scanner, but it had light blocking particles built in. The second scanner stopped working after scanning about 100 slides. I'm using the original scanner again and spending time removing blemishes with a photo editing program. If I didn't have the first one, I wouldn't buy the second one.
