You can rock your iPad by the handle like a slim briefcase as you walk, knowing your device is secure. The charging port and switches are reasonably accessible - nothing special. I believe an iPad had a slightly different speaker placement but it worked fine. What can I say? Four separate orders and everyone is happy!
