Was not sure how solar lights would fair when you don't get a lot of sun during the winter months, plus it gets dark so early. I was pleasantly surprised as these worked great. The only disappointment was that I wish they were brighter. We live in the country and when you turn the corner a 1/2 mile away you can see our house lights but not the trees. You can see them when you get closer but by then you are driving past. I do love the look from the house so I get to enjoy them. Most of the time, even on some cloudy days, these lights last ALL night long! Very pleased and do suggest you purchase them!
