Much used in the secondary steps of removing old varnish, varnish etc from oak cabinets with a chemical washer (5f5). After the first layer of slime was scraped off, I used these pads to rub more chemicals deep into the red oak fibers. It took a few iterations. Then they were also used with water and detergent to remove the chemical and then washed with DN alcohol. After drying, the wood was ready for sanding. Later they were also used to lightly sand dry varnish between coats and remove excess varnish (a gold pad was also used).
