Review on MICTUNING Heavy Inline Trailer Junction by Enoch Sahay

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Make sure you have a volt meter with you

I assumed it would be hooked up to the traditional 7 pin trailer configuration as the name does not mean RV and all new horse trailer wires or ( 12.10.14) and standard colors (see attached picture). When I connected this mating cable to our Silverado 3500HD's cable and pins, I found that it was wired for standard RV connections, meaning the wires did not match (again, see attached image). So now I have 10/12/14 gauge wires mixed up and in different colors. Looks like I'll have to go back and replace the truck's link end with a second one to get the wiring right and not upset my mild OCD, not to mention the trailer-to-pigtail wire sensor is disabled. Also, the pieces were easy to put together, although you'll have to find a spot of thinner metal to drill into if you don't have a powerful drill and a drill bit to go through the structural beams. I simply used a steel wire fence to tie it to one of the supports under the gooseneck floor.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
