Review on Saucony Men's Hurricane Running πŸƒ Shoe: Unleash Your Inner Speed with Style by Levi Stewart

Lots of quality control issues

I've been running Hurricane for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. I bought my first pair of Hurricane 23s in early 2022. don't employ. Another's lacing was oddly tight (or maybe not soft enough) to the point where I ended my runs with toe pain. They returned. Thinking it was a coincidence, I ordered a second pair a few months later. They were comfortable and fitted well, but after 30 miles the material around the inner ankle started to fray. There seems to be some sort of design flaw where the reinforcement around the upper lace holes creates a stress point in the adjacent material that flexes and eventually breaks after repeated ankle movement, which happens with every step. I expect wear and tear damage, but not only after 2 weeks. The good: Otherwise their shoes feel good; very good. As comfortable as you expect. If you've worn Hurricanes in the past but missed the last few iterations, note that the forefoot has been shrunk to pre-ISO levels, presumably in the name of lightening the shoe. But my overall experience with the 23 leaves me cold and I would not recommend this shoe to anyone who is serious about running, their gear and their money's worth. I sincerely hope Saucony fixes these issues as I want to love the Hurricanes again.

Pros
  • I work in the ER and I'm on my feet by the ton. They are very comfortable and supportive. My feet don't hurt after a long day!
Cons
  • It can be uncomfortable to wear them for long periods of time.
