My last monitor I bought was in 2007 and when I rebuilt my system I bought everything new to include this monitor. I first bought a 27 inch monitor from the store because it was the only one in the store. I never thought there would be a shortage of monitors. Then when I bought it I found it wasn't Gysnc as I have an NVidia card. 27 inches was too big anyway. Too big for board games. It was 4k and it was really really good. I returned it and spent several days going through the reviews, which ones and what size, and it was a never ending task. I play PC games and as one site mentioned anything over 25 inches was too much to play board games. I don't use Xbox. They were right, and while it's actually around 24.5 inches, you could call it a 25-inch monitor. I'm so glad I didn't buy anything else. All of these cannot cover your field of vision. The color is great, solid, and I don't need to tweak it. Very solid base, nothing flimsy and I love that I can turn off the backlight which seems to have everything, mice, modems, keyboards and now monitors. Enough of all that. The box and packaging was unlike anything I have seen before, the work is high quality and beautifully done. The only thing I mutter is the cost. A bit pricey but if it lasts as long as my NEC 20x20 sq. m, then the money was not spent in vain. I don't like labels or titles, but I appreciate that Alienware doesn't try like a kid to brag about it. This is a good ad-free display for young kids, but shows it off in style. Cables are well hidden thanks to the integrated organizer, and the height and depth adjustment is also practical. I think it's very durable, true to size for board games and the colors are very nice and crisp. I'm glad I bought this. I'm surprised how hard it is to find 24-25 monitors. This also came with matching cables, unlike some suppliers you will need to purchase additional cables. The packaging is one of the best I've seen. I was going to give this 4 stars by deducting one because of the price but as I really like it the cost wasn't such a big factor to deduct a star unless someone can tell me it's a generic version of it gives this for much less money.
