Review on Premium Quality Alternator by Quality-Built 15694 by Tom Ball

When this part arrived I opened the box to find that the plastic snap tie around the zip tie was broken and the rod itself was loose as if it weren't connected to anything. I removed the plastic back cover from my old and new units and found that the hex threaded grommet that holds the cable post was not tightened at all. I was able to tighten it with a wrench and give it proper contact with the conductive plate. I was then able to use the old plastic latch in place of the new broken part. Also when looking at the back cover, it was obvious from the large scratch that this alternator had hit the ground at some point. This part never went through quality control. In addition, it was poorly packaged and, judging by the inside of the box, bounced a lot. This one is on Revain. Despite this, I was able to have it repaired and it fits and loads great. Luckily I'm mechanical and could get it to work or else I'd have to go to the trouble of sending it back. With a loose pole it would never charge properly.
