Review on Blue Mist Full/Queen Magnolia Organics Blanket: Luxurious Organic Comfort by Morgan Arnold

*UPDATE* So I washed it once and hung it outside for almost a week to exhaust it. That helped. Then I washed it again with more Oxo-Brite and put it in the dryer on low and the smell has reduced significantly and I don't feel sick anymore. It may have barely shrunk in length after putting it on the low setting, but I'm not entirely sure since I didn't measure it. In any case, I'm happier with my duvet now and I'm sure the residual smell will go away after a few washes. *ORIGINAL REVIEW* To be honest I'm a bit disappointed with this duvet. I really like this company and I got two sheets for my baby from them. Both are very soft and have no chemical smell from the paint. However, this blanket has a terrible and very strong odor. I read another review here from someone who is just as sensitive to chemicals as I am and thought maybe she was more sensitive than me because others didn't seem to have had the issue. At first the smell didn't strike me as too bad, but after opening it the smell permeated the entire downstairs of my house. I washed it hoping it wouldn't smell as bad afterward, maybe because it was wet, but it smelled even worse. I hung it outside to air dry and hope it weathers quickly. I'll probably wash it a few more times in hopes it will speed up the process. I really like the color and quality of the blanket. It feels comfortable and has a good weight. I just hope the smell goes away soon. I want to love this blanket and I'm sure people who aren't as sensitive to chemicals as I am probably won't find it offensive. Maybe I'll edit the review when the smell is gone (if). Until. it hangs outside.
