I bought this product after I’d figured out how many plastic utensils (and plastic wrappers for each utensil) I had wasted at work over the past few years. It really bugged me so I started looking at travel kits. I knew I didn’t want plastic and while bamboo or other wood sets seemed intriguing, I kept worrying about durability and bacteria in the wood after several washes. I landed on this product and I couldn’t be happier. I chose the black finish and it looks pretty cool. I’m not sure if the coating is applied to the metal or is fused into the metal when they are casting it but it’s really durable.The weight is nice too. The utensils do not feel flimsy. I’ve only used the straws a few times but they work. Not sure what else to say about a straw.Chopsticks are a nice addition but I’ve only used them once while at work.I will post a longer term review once I put some more "miles” on them.
