These shoes were such a disappointment. I connected them personally and charged them according to the instructions. They only stayed 2-3 hours. At first I thought it was because the guys are showing them off and switching between all the colors or using the light show option. So I told them to pick which lights they want and then leave them alone to see if that would improve battery life at all. It's not like this. On the third day one of the indicators on the outside of my 6 year old's right shoe went off. The next day both of my boys had a shoe that didn't fit. I personally charged them until they stopped blinking, so I know they weren't plugged in properly. The next day they started working again but barely lasted two hours charged. We had no rain for 6 days when I let them wear shoes so they didn't get wet. The shoes are heavy and look really well made, but the headlights are useless.
