Review on Magnetic Drain Plug Sump Bolt by Joseph Quade

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Intermediate oil change, so far so good

I drive about 2000 miles a month. I installed this on my VW TDI (2015 MK VII). I had some concerns initially because it's aluminum and my normal sump drain plugs are steel, which I replace with a dealer unit every time. engine in oil. So I try that. I was very careful not to overtighten the drain plug (because it's aluminum), but I squeezed it just enough so it wouldn't come loose. I checked the oil level every few days, then about every 2 weeks. The oil level is constant. It's been almost 2 months and over 3500 miles. So far, so good. But until I unplug and test, I can only report that there have been no problems so far. In a few months I will update my review with photos.
