So far I have used these racks to transport two kayaks 2 times. Both times I was happy with the results, which means I didn't lose my kayaks (laughs). The trips were only a few hours from home, but they included freeway driving and high winds. The hardware is a little questionable so I replaced some of the screws and I don't like that only one bar holds up. (one wing nut on each side) of each bracket on the post. Somehow I think they could attach two bars (two wing nuts on each side) but as I said they hold. Will I be using this to transport my kayaks on a few thousand mile trip? I'm really not sure. I've only been using them for about a month so I'll have to reevaluate them after a while. I will come back and update this review.
