Review on Dell S2721QS Ultra Thin DisplayPort Certified Pivot Adjustment, Curved, High Dynamic Range, Tilt Adjustment, HD by James Grissett

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Dell is a boring brand. Yes!

There were a few good pros, but they were overshadowed by the cons, and regardless of your own assessment of the pros and cons, the item was also defective. Main problem: intermittent signal loss - about every 5-30 seconds, the screen appeared as if the HDMI cable was unplugged. Many have reported this issue in these reviews and elsewhere on the web (PS - I was using a Windows device, not an Apple/Mac). As soon as I set up the monitor the problem started and Dell support didn't offer any explanation but offered to send an exchange. I could take advantage of this offer if I bought it directly from Dell, but since I bought it from Revain I issued a refund just a few hours after receiving this product. Pros: - Entry-level price for a 27" 4k monitor (great price considering other benefits) - Audio out - Built-in speakers - Can be raised/lowered - Can be tilted forward/back - Can be rotated Cons: - Intermittent loss of signal ! - The black screen just appeared as a black cross right in front of your eyes. , it seemed like the rest of the screen was blank (you need to watch the video to understand and also see the signal loss) - Built-in power supply (makes the monitor bigger, warmer and heavier) - Contrast of faded colors - The Menu options look dated, and while the Dell Monitor application download was better, it's still outdated.
