I had an old adapter kit and tried to use it on a trip to Peru and nothing but grief and it weighed a ton. Of course, a lot of the electronics have changed since then, so that also helped. Since all my chargers and such will work with 110v to 220v, this was all I needed. I also bought the other adapter because I was unsure if I would need 2 or 3 prongs, but 2 worked perfect for Italy. Really happy with it. It did get kind of warm at one hotel, but that was only that one time so it may have not been an issue with the adaptor. Light weight and right size, it got the job done.
