This case is the same. I had another case that broke. The lid is similar, but the bottom half is a hard plastic shell. A year later, the corners of the plastic shell broke. I have a full leather case like this Fintie on my smaller tablet and it has lasted a couple of years and still looks brand new. The edges and corners of the top and bottom protrude beyond the tablet, providing better cushioning than a plastic shell. The tray-style plastic case is thinner and takes up less room in your bag, but this case offers far better corner protection. I was concerned that with this case it would be difficult to touch the edges of the screen due to the leather surround around the front of the screen, but I had no problems. This Fintie case fits perfectly, feels good and I expect it to last as long as my smaller one. I recommend it.
