As always, here is an honest review. Ignore all the other reviews as I'm not stupid well I'm not usually stupid but I pulled into my garage so I had to order this set of replacement lights for my 07 King Ranch f250. The Ford dealer wanted $117 for one. I paid significantly less for two here. I have never disassembled a mirror on this truck. The total time from start to finish was 15 minutes for both sides. The headlights are of the same quality as Ford OEM. They are correctly shaped and look very nice. The headlights are 10 lumens brighter than the Ford OEM, which isn't much. (tested in a dark garage) If you're replacing these headlights to increase brightness, I wouldn't buy the tinted version. I didn't buy the clear ones but I suspect the clear lenses should be even brighter than the tinted ones since they use the same LED system. Tools Required: Flat head screwdriver and flash. That's all. No other tools are required. Step #1: Your mirror will be held up by four small ledges. (not 3 as instructed) Four horizontal and one vertical. The vertical is the lower outer part of the mirror on both sides. Press the tabs to release them and pull the tab out slightly. Each of the four tabs will release and the entire front mirror cover will pop out. Even if you have electric mirrors, don't be afraid to move them manually. You won't break it Tilt the mirror so you can put the screwdriver back in and push. Use Flash to display tabs. Step #2: Disconnect the lighting harness connector. It just tears him apart. You have now completely detached the mirror cover and lens from the truck. Step #3: THIS IS IMPORTANT, and a lot of the reviewers here don't think outside the box, so they couldn't figure it out. Spend 7 seconds and disconnect the wire harness from the small hook on the truck. You simply lift the tether up and over the little pointy tongue and WOW, THE tether is NOW LONG ENOUGH TO CONNECT TO YOUR NEW LIGHT! I have heated auto-dimming power mirrors, so my headlights have the same crap or more than yours. Removing the seat belts from the bracket may help during assembly. Step #4 Remove the (probably broken) LED lens from the front of the mirror (which you are holding now). This is not brain surgery and if you look at it you will understand how it can be removed. Squeeze the two tabs on one side, which releases the lens and pops it out. Step #5 Take your new lens, first align the three corner clips and insert the lens into the mirror cap. Since the lens is concave it doesn't seem to fit. Trust me, line up the three tabs and click. It slides inward and then the two latches on the other side should snap into place. I had to use a flat head screwdriver to wedge one of the tabs on one of the mirrors to pry them apart. Step 6. Go back to your truck and connect the wire harness. There will be a lot of slack in the tether since you are not stupid and untied the tether from the bracket earlier in step 3. The strap will not split or rip because there is no retainer. It's just a plug. I would recommend checking the lights before snapping the tabs back into place to ensure your connection is good. To do this, switch on the parking lights and indicators. They have 4 solid forward facing LEDs and 4 flash towards the rear of your truck. Step #7 Line up the OUTSIDE OF THE COVER with the mirror on your truck. Once you think you're aligned, grab your flashlight and move the mirror again, making sure all four tabs are aligned. Once that was verified, I simply tapped the mirror cover a few times and all the tabs fell into place. I'm not saying you have to act like Chris Brown did with Rihanna, but with enough force to press noses in place. Step #8 You are done. Now go back to Amazon and laugh at the people who struggled with this simple task and be proud that you have better motor and problem solving skills than a 7 year old. It took me longer to write this review than it took me to install the lamp. . Much luck!
