Review on Enhanced Dust Collector/Vacuum Fittings - POWERTEC 70133 2-1/2-Inch Blast Gate by Paul Ziegler

When I was starting out I bought this blast gate for my lumber business. They seemed great at first, I bought 6 of these for about $36. I've been using them for about 7 months and already replacing them with metal for about $50. The problem with them is that they get clogged and almost impossible to clean. The pocket that the door slides into has no opening at the bottom to push out dust and debris. I even cut one open to show how dust collects in the bag and prevents it from closing completely (the picture shows how far it closes now). Don't make my mistake, buy slightly more expensive metals that have a hole at the bottom to prevent clogging. Unfortunately, they have become unusable and end up directly in the garbage.
